Lamac is a very remote barangay southwest of Cebu. It is about 14km from Poblacion, Pinamungajan and 8km from Lutopan, Toledo. Fifty years ago, there weren't too many people living in this town. Most of them were farmers who didn't have proper education but were very hardworking and contented of their simple lives.
This barangay is not just the biggest barangay but it has around 106 caves and the most famous of them all is the Camangon Cave.Camangon i sthe Visayan word for crawl. It is about 6 feet of crawling before you can get to stand up to explore the beauty of the cave.
You will be left with amazement after you set all the huge and live stalactites and stalagmites formations. They all just shine brightly like the diamonds in the sky.
The local tourism office of Pinamungajan makes barangay Lamac a professional caving activity.

Ice chunks fall for first time in Cebu; whirlwind hits Pinamungahan village.
Lumps of ice fell in rural villages of Pinamungahan town, western Cebu, accompanied by a whirlwind that destroyed at least 10 houses and damaged almost 200 others on Thursday.
The hailstorm was the first recorded in Cebu according to the weather bureau.
Residents of barangay Lamac and Puntod were pummeled by strong wind and ice chips that fell from the sky for almost an hour past 12 noon.
The sudden shift in weather from a hot summer day to galeforce winds and hail stones caught residents by surprise, uprooting big trees and flippping nipa houses upside down.
This was the first time this has happened in their 20 years stay in barangay Lamac, Pinamungahan town.
